A loose shimmer eyeshadow can really change any look and give it that extra pop you may be looking for. I’m a huge fan of them and a strong believer that you don’t need to splurge to find the perfect shimmer shade.
- NYX Loose Pearl Eye Shadow | $3.00 – This is the first shimmer shadow I picked up in a loose form years ago, so it’s probably way past its expiration date (oops). I immediately was blown away by how pigmented and gorgeous the shade was. You need the smallest amount to cover your eye lid, hence why this has lasted me so long. I can no longer see the shade name but I believe it’s in the shade pearl which they describe as a pale pearly pink. I love this for a bright lid look or as an inner corner highlight. There are 15 shades listed on their website, ranging from this pearl to deep neutrals and even bright pops of purples and blues.
- J. Cat Beauty Shine Your Day! Shimmery Powder | $3.45 – I picked two of these up in my most recent order from Ulta and already love them. They’re very similar to the NYX powders, they even come in the same packaging, but these are available in much more neutral shades. The one pictured above is in the shade Earth Mango which is a gorgeous golden bronze shade. I love these colors and can’t seem to stray away from them.
- Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics Pure Pigment Eye Dusts | $4.99 – What makes me gravitate towards this product more than the other two is the packaging. The product is so much easier to get out and work with when it’s in this sort of packaging with a sifter. These type of eyeshadows tend to be quite messy, and this packaging helps prevent spills and excess product coming out. I have the shade Cafe au Lait which is another warm bronzey shade.
